Job Description
The Cash Operations Engineering team exists to bridge our product with the business by building the tools and services used to take action when and where it is needed most. We’re looking for an engineering manager who understands the value of knowing a problem, understanding the customer and owning the outcome of their efforts. In this role, you will build and lead a team that will have a huge, direct impact on the company’s vision of changing the world's relationship with money and be pivotal in helping us maintain our incredible growth.
As a member of the Cash engineering team, you’ll collaborate with us to:
Practice servant leadership of a team of engineers building tools and services that power internal and external cash products.
Build an outstanding team by hiring remarkable talent, coaching your team, fostering pragmatic engineering decision-making, and using your technical expertise to maintain a high bar
Participate in essential technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across our product and operations teams
Work with a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside engineering to build a clear vision for your team
Oversee the success of your team's product and achieve quantifiable results on time
Build systems, services, and product features across multiple platforms that have immediate impact on customers
Introduce industry leading engineering patterns and practices that give us the confidence to dare bold things.
Qualifications
You have:
Curiosity and a passion for services, tooling and infrastructure.
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical, working experience (5+ years preferred)
2+ years managing engineering teams
Background in building and scaling products
Technologies we use and teach:
Java 11/Kotlin, including JUnit, Hibernate, Guice, and Jersey
HTTP, JSON, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers
MySQL, Vitess, event sourcing
