    Job Description

    Cash App has rapidly evolved to serve both consumers and businesses in invaluable ways through products such as Cash for Businesses and Boosts. Building on this momentum, our mission for commerce is to connect consumers and businesses to help them both thrive.

    As our very first Product Marketing Manager for Commerce, you will be leading the GTM strategy to drive awareness and growth for key products such as Cash App Pay. Based on market insights, you’ll identify our strategic audiences and develop the positioning, messaging, and channel strategy to drive key business outcomes. To be successful, you’ll forge strong partnerships across the Cash App and Square teams, including Product, Creative, Design, Brand, Data Science, and Business Development teams.

    You will also join as one of the founding members of a rapidly growing product marketing team. We’re looking for seasoned, team-oriented product marketing leaders to help us scale the discipline and play a pivotal role in shaping our culture and strategy. This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing. 

    YOU WILL:

    • Develop and drive the GTM strategy for key commerce products, including goal setting, customer insights, market analysis, positioning and messaging, and channel strategy.

    • Lead campaign development and coordination, driving targeted strategies and messaging across audiences, channels, and cross-functional teams.

    • Launch insights-driven marketing programs that drive customer behavior and reach business objectives, in close partnership with the broader Cash App team. 

    • Champion Cash App’s marketing experimentation culture by testing measurable and scalable programs that you’ll optimize and launch based on learnings.

    • Influence Cash App’s commerce products by synthesizing and championing key market insights and representing the product marketing perspective in the development cycle.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    YOU HAVE:

    • 7+ years of experience in product marketing and growth marketing at one or more fast-growing consumer tech companies (fintech a strong plus).

    • A strong track record of spearheading product launches and marketing campaigns that drove significant business growth. 

    • Highly collaborative leadership skills and a proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives.

    • Strong business acumen and extensive experience with core analytical concepts like LTV and incrementality, along with the ability to effectively synthesize market insights.

    • A scrappy and resourceful way of operating. You are able to unblock yourself to achieve your goals and are always thinking creatively about your approach to problems.

    • An ability to excel at both the strategic and operational levels, and to consistently meet or exceed planned objectives.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This role demands a strong ability to use the spoken and written word to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

    • Comfort in operating in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and startup environment.
