Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join Block with a focus on building out Cash App’s experimentation capabilities while working across the entire 30 person DS org at Cash App.

YOU WILL: 

• Be directly responsible for bolstering our experimentation platform and tooling
• Work closely with a team of Engineers to design experimentation tools, with a focus on statistical accuracy
• Collaborate across multiple DS workstream to identify gaps/opportunities for increasing the effectiveness of how we approach experimentation across the company
• Effectively communicate your work with team leads and cross-functional stakeholders and champion the experimentation cause more broadly across the organization

Qualifications

YOU HAVE:

• 6+ years of data science and analytics experience in industry
• A graduate degree in Stats or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree and significant relevant experience
• Strong statistical skills and deep expertise in hypothesis testing and designing experiments for product features
• Experience with scripting and data analysis programming languages, such as Python or R
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Mode, etc)
• Experience in a high-growth tech environment 
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for what Cash App is building
