    Liquor and Wine Sales Representative - Cash Butte Distillery

    We are a family-owned, **** vertically integrated operation in Royal City, Washington. We grow over 500 acres of organic apples and cherries that are sold through major US retailers. A portion of our fruit crop is allocated to our onsite distillery where we produce premium, small-batch vodka and brandy. We are a start-up distillery operation that has proven market viability. We produce ~800 cases per year of distilled spirits and currently hold ~400 cases of finished inventory.

    We are looking to add a Liquor and Wine Sales Representative to our team. Candidate must possess demonstrated skills in developing relationships with distilled spirit distributors and retailers and have proven success in exceeding sales goals.

    Job Overview

    The Liquor and Wine Sales Representative will be part of a working team that reports to the General Manager. This role will have broad exposure to distillery operations and will work closely with the team to respond to market feedback and drive results. The is a remote role with a geographic focus on developing channel partners and customers in Washington state. This role will have some physical presence in Royal City, based on the needs of the operation.

    This is a full-time, exempt role that is expected to exercise discretion and demonstrate good judgment on matters of brand, relationship-building, and customer service.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Achieve and/or exceed critical metrics, revenue targets, and company goals. First year goal is to sell 600 cases of spirit inventory. That goal will ramp in subsequent years based on increasing production volumes.

    • Develop new business through prospecting, closing, and growing relationships with retailer customers, which includes distilled spirits retailers, restaurants & bars, grocery stores, and individual customers domiciled in Washington state. Must be comfortable converting cold leads to customers.

    • Maintain and grow purchasing volumes with existing retail customers. Obtain reorders and optimize bottle placement within retail facilities.

    • Develop customer relationship through store visits and tastings. Schedule and perform weekly tastings and site visits with prospective and existing customers.

    • Work with general manager and marketing staff to build direct to consumer lists and other strategies for increasing sales quantities and price per bottle of distilled spirits.

    • Work with general manager and marketing staff to develop content, collateral, and communication materials that effectively position the CBD brand and suite of products.

    • Provide timely feedback from the field to General Manager and the Distillery team to ensure issues and opportunities are addressed in an expedited manner. Participate in scheduled team meetings.

    • Maintain excellent relationships with customers and be responsive to customers’ needs. Maintain desired customer response times.

    • Collaborate with Distillery team to ensure alignment, proper execution, and to act quickly on new opportunities that may arise.

    • Leverage systems, processes, and best practices to effectively sell current and new distilled spirits.

    Skills & Experience

    The ideal candidate should have:

    · 6+ years of direct sales experience

    · 3+ years of experience in distilled spirits or wine sales, preferably in Washington State

    · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    · Strong written and communication skills

    · Proficiency with e-mail and software technologies

    · Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
