    The Accounting Services team is seeking a full-time Cash Receipts Specialist. This position is responsible for processing, reconciling, and auditing all deposits, change orders, and starting banks in accordance with established policies and procedures. In this role, you will generate cash drawer reports, prepare sales and use tax filings, manage billing and collection of accounts receivable, and provide support to cash operations and accounts payable as needed.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • **__**Process all deposits, change orders and starting banks in accordance with approved policies and procedures
    • Reconcile and audit cash register activity, generates related reports, and communicates results to unit leaders as appropriate
    • Maintains and controls Cash office safes at approved levels
    • Reconciles daily credit card activity
    • Responsible for billing and collection of accounts receivable, and related reconciliations
    • Assists with processing accounts payable invoices, and review of vendor statements
    • Works with Siriusware system, assessing and troubleshooting problems, and providing limited system maintenance
    • Records Henry Ford Academy deposits per their account reconciliation sheet
    • Prepares sales and use tax returns
    • Works the cash window, which includes making changes, cashing checks, and reimbursing petty cash transactions
    • Records and balances Event deposits
    • Reconciles all AR accounts
    • Assists in other areas as needed
    • Contributes to the effective team management of all problems, issues and opportunities
    • Acts as a team player and provides expertise within the team and with other teams as appropriate

    Qualifications:

    • Accounting experience and/or education preferred
    • Basic computer skills, Microsoft Excel and Access experience preferred
    • Cash handling experience preferred
