Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide assistance with products/services in a friendly and professional manner.
Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process various payment types (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, etc.) using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Cash Handling: Maintain an accurate cash drawer, perform daily reconciliations, and follow all cash handling procedures.
Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and courteously, escalating to management when necessary.
Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our products and services to effectively answer customer inquiries and make recommendations.
Merchandising & Stocking (if applicable): Assist with light stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Returns and Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges according to company policy.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and positive customer experience.
Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Proficiency with POS systems or ability to learn quickly.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [e.g., 25] pounds (if applicable).
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive attitude and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
