About the Role
At NAPA Auto Parts, great customer experiences start at the register. As a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, you’ll be one of the first and last faces our customers see — and your energy, accuracy, and attitude make all the difference. You’ll handle transactions efficiently, support the sales floor, and help keep daily store operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming, professional experience at every visit
• Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with accuracy and accountability
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with general inquiries
• Support the counter sales team during peak hours and busy periods
• Assist with stocking shelves, facing product, and maintaining store organization
• Process returns, exchanges, and core transactions per company policy
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, teammates, and management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming front-end environment
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management
What You’ll Need
• Positive attitude, professional conduct, and strong work ethic
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability and punctuality — showing up on time and ready to work
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and payment transactions
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to be cross-trained and assist in different areas of store operations
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Available to work weekends on a rotating schedule
• Must be 18 years or older
• Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
This is an active, on-your-feet role. Candidates must be able to:
• Stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
• Bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
Compensation
Starting salary $16.50 per hour.
