    Company Summary and Location

    Global Parking Systems (GPS) is the shuttle service provider for the Kansas City International Airport located in Kansas City, Missouri and are experts in the management of parking lots, valet services, parking management and shuttle operations at airports across the country.

    Global Parking Systems Kansas City Operations’ administrative offices are located the Kansas City (MCI) Airport, 601 Brasillia Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri.

    Scope of Position

    The Cashier is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to customers when they arrive and leave.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The Cashier is responsible for performing the essential duties and responsibilities listed below:

    Arrive at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform

    Count “bank” of revenue at beginning of shift to ensure starting total is correct

    Collect cash and/or credit card and maintain security of cash

    Make change and issue receipts to customers for each transaction

    Compute or recompute bills from ticket showing amount due per customer

    Operate cash register after time calculation (manually or by machine), calculate cost or transaction and display cost of customer transaction on cash register

    Quote prices for parking services for which money is received upon customer receipt

    Give directions to customers to various locations in the city.

    Complete lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located

    Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor

    Answer telephone in a prompt and courteous manner

    Maintain cleanliness of booth and pick up trash in the surrounding area

    Conduct timely checks to see if a proper inventory of necessary work aids and supplies are in booth

    Verify log of shift transactions against bank of “revenue” on hand

    Compile “bank” of collected revenue during the day once a predetermined amount of money has been collected

    Record amounts received, cars in/out of facility, cars left in a facility (if applicable) while preparing shift report of transactions

    May check in vehicles or move them as needed

    Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

    Starting Hourly Range of Pay

    The starting rate for the Cashier position is $17.50 hourly.

    Certifications and Licenses

    The individual selected for the Cashier will be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

    Availability to Work

    The individual selected for the Cashier position must be available to work special shift requirements, depending on location’s hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends may be a requirement.

    Appearance Requirements

    The individual selected for the Van Shuttle Driver position must adhere to the appearance standard as outlined below:

    Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times

    The individual selected for the Cashier position must possess the:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

    Ability to write simple correspondence

    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, supervisors and other employees of the company

    Reasoning Ability

    The individual selected for the Cashier position must be able to:

    Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions

    Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

    Education Requirements

    The individual selected for the Cashier position must possess:

    A High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)

    A minimum of six (6) months related experience or training or

    A combination of education and experience
