Job Summary:
We call this position our Hospitality Hero! This person plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests by performing multiple duties in the front-of-house area. This position includes greeting guests, taking orders, delivering food, handling Point of Sale transactions, and ensuring a welcoming environment. A combination of excellent customer service, organizational skills, and multitasking ability is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities: Reception Duties:
Guest Greeting and Seating:
Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude as they enter the venue.
Answer phones, and assist guests with inquiries regarding services.
Guest Experience:
Provide information about menu items, daily specials, or promotions.
Ensure a positive first impression by maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff regarding guest needs.
Food Runner Duties:
Deliver Food to Guests:
Retrieve prepared food from the kitchen and deliver it to the correct table or guest in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure that food is presented attractively and accurately, and check that the order is correct before delivery.
Assist guests with any requests (e.g., additional condiments, drinks) during food delivery.
Guest Interaction:
Ensure that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal, such as utensils and napkins.
Respond to any concerns or requests in a professional and friendly manner.
Food Safety and Cleanliness:
Ensure that food is delivered at the appropriate temperature and is handled in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Assist with keeping the dining area clean, including clearing empty dishes and wiping down tables.
Cashier Duties:
Process Transactions:
Handle payments for food services and merchandise accurately and efficiently.
Manage and maintain the register area, ensuring that it is organized and free of clutter.
Order and Payment Assistance:
Take customer orders when needed and accurately input them into the system.
Provide assistance to guests during the checkout process, answering questions and ensuring they are satisfied with their experience.
Sales and Promotion Support:
Assist with promoting special offers, loyalty programs, or upsell additional items (e.g., drinks, desserts).
Ensure that all payments are properly documented and accounted for.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with other duties as needed, such as restocking supplies, assisting with setup/cleanup, or running errands.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of responsibility.
Ensure the workplace is compliant with health, safety, and company standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
Knowledge of cash register systems or point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle guest concerns with professionalism.
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry heavy trays or items (up to 30 lbs).
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach when needed.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a fast-paced restaurant or entertainment environment.
The position requires customer-facing interaction, and the work environment may be noisy or busy during peak hours.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
