Cashier – Afternoon & Overnight Shifts
Location: Owosso, MI (3 locations within Owosso) Schedule: Afternoon & Overnight Shifts Available Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
About the Role
Hometown Markets is seeking dependable Cashiers to support afternoon and overnight operations. This role provides customer service, transaction support, and general store maintenance to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide professional service
Operate the register and process cash, credit, and digital payments
Stock shelves, coolers, and front-of-store merchandise
Maintain store cleanliness and organization
Assist with food preparation, coffee stations, and daily tasks
Follow safety and company procedures
Support team members to ensure smooth operations
Overnight team members work alongside another associate during shifts.
Qualifications
Dependable and punctual
Strong customer service skills
Ability to remain active throughout the shift
Ability to multitask and stay organized
Willingness to learn (no prior experience required; training provided)
Schedule Options
Afternoon Shifts:
2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Overnight Shifts:
10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Weekend availability may be required.
