Gizmo's Flea Market is looking for friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashiers to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be one of the first people our customers and vendors interact with, helping create a positive shopping experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

In this role, you will assist customers with purchases, answer questions, process transactions, and help maintain a clean and welcoming store environment. We are looking for team members who enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude, and can thrive in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide excellent customer service

Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately

Answer customer questions and assist with locating products

Help vendors and customers with general inquiries

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area

Balance cash drawer and ensure transaction accuracy

Assist with store opening and closing procedures as needed

Support other team members and management with daily operations

Follow company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred, but not required

Strong communication and customer service skills

Basic math and cash-handling abilities

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
