Position Summary The Lead Trainer/Cashier is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while supporting the onboarding, training, and development of front-of-house team members. This role sets the standard for service, accuracy, and professionalism at the register and ensures new and existing employees are trained to meet company expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Cash Handling
Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the register.
Greet guests, take orders, process payments, and ensure order accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized front counter and dining area.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Training & Team Development
Train new cashiers on POS systems, menu knowledge, service standards, and company procedures.
Coach team members on upselling, order accuracy, speed of service, and hospitality.
Demonstrate best practices and lead by example during all shifts.
Support ongoing training and refreshers to maintain consistency across the team.
Operations Support
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Ensure proper cash handling, drawer counts, and shift handoffs.
Support team members during peak hours to maintain service standards.
Communicate operational or training opportunities to management.
Qualifications
Previous managment or shift leader experience required.
Previous cashier or customer service experience required.
Leadership or training experience preferred.
Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.
