Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Cashier to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. You will also be expected to manage money, handle customer inquiries, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Previous experience in customer service is a plus, and a love of flowers is always a bonus!

Pay starts at $18/ hr

Responsibilities

Customer Interaction: Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly, efficient service. Answer customer questions, offer assistance, and ensure their needs are met.

Transactions: Accurately process payments using cash, credit cards, checks, and automatic debits via Shopify POS or other register systems. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and change.

Product Assistance: Help customers find and order products and provide information on merchandise, services, and pricing.

General Duties: Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly wrapped or packaged.

Store Support: Assist with stocking shelves, sorting, and reshelving items, and perform light cleaning tasks such as sweeping or taking out the trash.

Teamwork: Work with colleagues to support store operations and provide assistance to other departments as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Basic math skills and the ability to handle transactions accurately

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Desired Skills

Ability to manage time effectively and perform tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Strong speaking, listening, and writing skills to convey information clearly and effectively. Active listening and clear articulation are essential.
