Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Register Attendant to join our team at Pat & Gary's II. The Register Attendant will be responsible for operating the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service to all patrons.
Responsibilities:
Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Scan items, collect payments, and issue receipts to customers.
Ensure correct pricing and display of items.
Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area.
Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about products and promotions.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
Monitoring and counting bottle returns, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Checking for damaged or expired goods and removing them from shelves.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.
Complete training on the POS system and propane filling.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the store.
Adhere to all safety and security procedures.
And all other assigned duties.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a retail or customer service position preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Attention to detail and a positive attitude towards customer service.
Ability to stand for extended periods (approx. 6-8hrs) and lift/move items weighing up to 50lbs.
