Summary: Performs cashier/host/hostess duties in the casino during assigned. Responsibilities lie around the area of casino and bar operations and include guest service, cleaning, processing customer transactions, and balancing cash drawer, understanding all promotions, and promoting casino profitability. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
- Comply with established company policies, procedures, and standards such as safekeeping of company funds and property, security and inventory control policies.
- Complete assigned duties on scheduled shift.
- Balance daily cash drawer.
- Report any/all safety issues immediately.
- Promote team concepts by completing assigned duties and reporting those that are incomplete.
- Be able to acquire all permits and certificates required by the Video Gaming Division.
- Promote profitability by providing excellent guest service to customers and other employees.
- Understand the operation of the VIP system.
- May be cross trained to operate areas in the absence of an employee from another area of the company.
- Responsible for reporting all property safety hazards to a supervisor or manager upon discovery of the hazard.
- Complete all shift inventories.
- Complete all shift checklists.
- Maintain and clean equipment in assign areas.
- Arrive at work in proper uniform at the assigned shift starting time.
- Ensure that vendors follow agreements as instructed.
- Communicate with the Casino Supervisor or Location Manager any and all perceived or real issues involving the operation of the location.
- Provide excellent guest service for customers and employees.
- Follow all company polices as they are outlined in the Employee Handbook
Qualifications:
To perform tasks successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or some previous casino experience is preferred but not required.
- Language and Communication Skills: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Computer Skills: This position does not require but is highly recommended to have the basic knowledge of Window software
- Mathematical Skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Problem Solving and Reasoning Ability: Using common sense to derive solutions to problems as they arise and to determine whether a supervisor is needed to solve an issue.
