Eligible candidates are required to have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Industrial Engineering; or Associates Degree with experience in automation technology, mechatronics and, robotics.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving and maintaining manufacturing best practices, drawings, work instructions and related documents for the die cast department, secondary operations and automated inspection.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.

    • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

    • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

    • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.

    • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

    • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

    • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.

    • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians/set-up technicians.

    • Train staff in new and existing processes, write operating work instructions and procedures

    • Upgrade systems and processes with new technology

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Associate's degree with experience in automation technology, mechatronics, and robotics.

    • 2-4 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer

    • Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and project management skills is manufacturing environment. Must be "hands on"

    • Proven ability to work independently and in direct contact with manufacturing shop floor personnel, suppliers, and customers.

    • Visual inspection experience in automation is a plus.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.

    • Solidworks CAD experience
