    We have a 2nd shift (3:15pm to 11:45pm) available with training on 1st shift (7am to 3:30pm) for 4-6 weeks.

    We are seeking a Die Cast Machine Operator to join our progressive team. With more than 50 years of excellence under our belt, Cast Products, Inc. is a manufacturer of zinc die castings.

    This position is responsible for the quality and quantity of die cast parts produced by assigned machines. Some of the major responsibilities include:

    • Operating assigned die cast machines and producing necessary quantity of castings as required
    • Package and piece count material in required containers/pallets per router instructions
    • Following router instructions and requirements
    • Skimming pots daily at the start of each shift and emptying dross containers in required bins
    • Completing daily operator PM requirements
    • Responsible for metal separation/segregation between material types
    • Checking quality of parts and identifying types of defects according to control plan/work instructions
    • Sorting parts for various defects per supervisor and/or quality instructions
    • Completing routing sheet documentation with all required information
    • Using and maintaining CPI measuring equipment – reporting any lost/damaged gages to quality inspectors/supervisor

    Applicants must demonstrate basic math, reading, writing, comprehension skills, basic computer proficiency, and be able to lift up to 50lbs. You should be proficient in machine setups for production runs and blueprint reading.

    • Calipers and Micrometers
    • Die Cast Machine (Cold Chamber)
    • Measurement Gauges
    • Die Cast Machine (Hot Chamber)
