Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1.      Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Computer Science, Business Data Processing, Computer Information Systems or related field is required.

2.      Minimum five – eight (5-8) years data modeling experience in an agile work-environment delivering transactional and operational, reporting/analytical (EDW/Data Lake/NoSQL) solutions

3.      Extensive hands on experience in data warehousing design, ETL/ELT, BI/Analytics Data Repositories development

4.      Demonstrate strong communication skills and proven ability to influence change.  Also, experience in developing comprehensive enterprise data architecture diagrams and supporting materials.

5.      Understanding of enterprise and reporting modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling, snowflakes, slowly changing dimensions, schema on read, irregular dimensions, and surrogate, compound and intelligent keys

6.      Experience with Data Modeling Tools (Embarcadero ER/Studio preferred), Knowledge of Data Modeling in Agile Software Development Framework

7.      Minimum five – eight (5-8) years Relational database (Sybase, Oracle or MS SQL erver) experience (SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, etc.)

8.      Industry: 3 years experience within the investment and mutual fund management industry, high level knowledge of securities & products, counterparties, positions, and transactions data

9.      Ability to describe the role of data architecture in supporting diverse use cases such as business processes, Cloud solution, Data Lake, BI, data migration or master data management (MDM)

10.  Experience with ETL (Informatica's PowerCenter), data quality, data profiling and ad-hoc query tools
