Ski & Snowboard Rental Shop Assistant Manager (12 month position / year around)
OVERVIEW: Daily coordination of the Rental Department operations to include but not limited to; tech/tuning of skis/snowboards, assisting the guest when necessary, assist in overseeing staff of approximately 40 employees during the winter months. generating a weekly schedule, Tech/tune ski/snowboards, guest services, employee training, oversee staff, scheduling, computer knowledge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
MUST be able to work nights (4pm-11pm) 4 to 5 nights per week - during season and (7am-5pm) 4 days per week during off season
Assists manager in supervising and coordinating activities of rental shop employees, including but not limited to scheduling, assigning duties and overseeing job performance
Trains and coaches employees in product knowledge, store policies, department procedures and job duties
Coaches product knowledge to the staff to ensure all guests receive the right product for their ability level, interest or need
Performs, or assists manager in performing safety training and documentation
Assists manager with payroll timekeeping, ensuring timely and accurate pay for all employees
Performs opening and closing duties of the rental area
Enforces loss prevention by following all “Asset Management” policies and procedures

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
1-3 years supervisory experience
High School diploma or equivalent required
Basic mechanical skills to maintain and set ski/snowboard equipment
Office organizational skills
Must be certified or able to become certified in ski binding torque testing and DIN settings
Experience in recreation or winter sports industry preferred
Ability to work flexible hours in a 7 day per week operation required
Advanced knowledge of ski and snowboard products required
Performs with the highest degree of integrity

Works well with children as well as teens and adults

SUMMER / WINTER SCHEDULE:
In-season (WINTER) November-March
4pm- 10pm (4-5 days)
7:30- 4:30 (1-day)
Off-Season
7:30 - 5:30pm (4 days)
