Title: Child Care Attendant, Part-Time

Department: Kid's Club

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Experience with children aged 6 months – 12 years.

Experience caring for 1-7 children at a time.

Ability to work well with children and be patient with them.

Ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances.

Knowledge of age-appropriate activities for groups of children.

Must be willing and available to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend and holiday shifts.

Strong public relations and communication skills.

Safety Knowledge & Training (American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, Infant CPR, AED, etc.) (PREFERRED)

Expectations:

Works when scheduled and adheres to our attendance policies.

Provide a clean, safe and fun child care environment.

Check infants and children in and out while providing basic child care.

Ensure safe play conditions and follow established security procedures.

Observe specific parent directions for playing and special needs.

Orient parents in regard to policies and procedures of child care center and maintain positive rapport with all parents and members.

Develop and implement activities for the children and attentively watch and attend to the children. Engage the children in creative play, songs, stories and otherwise provide a happy, wholesome experience.

Treat children if injured and complete accident reports; reports to parents, Supervisor and General Manager.

Handles complaints and comments and refers comments to proper

Perform duties and responsibilities in compliance with child care

Maintain clean environment; perform janitorial duties as required or assigned to include body fluid cleanup, sanitizing area, and light

Perform related duties as required.

Report any suspect abuse to Supervisor.

Work as part of a team.
