    Job Description

    We are seeking a motivated, creative leader to join our team as a Sr. Forging Engineer. In this role, you will develop procedures and tooling required to manufacture aluminum and magnesium aerospace and munitions forgings efficiently. You will design final forging configurations, pre-forms, blockers, dies, support tools, and fixtures. We need someone passionate about forging with expertise in die design to manage first article tryouts and identify optimum production processes. If you have strong technical skills and enjoy solving problems, this could be a great fit.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design final forging configuration around machine part envelopes
    • Create pre-form, blocker, and finisher die designs
    • Develop support tooling and fixture designs
    • Optimize processes to create simple shaped hand-forgings
    • Support manufacturing with forging process knowledge
    • Lead small teams and manage assignments to meet schedules
    • Maintain competency with CAD software like CATIA, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
    • Apply and interpret GD&T properly
    • Implement plans and recommendations by collaborating with various teams

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    • 8-10 years designing dies and processes for aluminum and magnesium aerospace and munitions forgings
    • Experience with hydraulic forging presses and closed die tooling
    • 5+ years aluminum die design experience
    • CAD expertise with modeling software like ACAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA

    Preferred Skills

    • Open die tooling experience
    • Ability to oversee first article tryouts and facilitate production release
    • Passionate about the forging industry and process

    Pay & Benefits

    $120-140K salary plus a full benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one of employment.
