    Job Description: We are currently seeking an ambitious, solutions-driven Project Engineer/Civil Engineer with a background in site/civil design and municipal projects. The ideal candidate will perform engineering designs for local municipalities, ensuring continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design.

    This role will be responsible for overseeing and executing various aspects of civil engineering projects, including design, permitting, and client management. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of professionals, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure completeness and accuracy of design efforts.
    • Provide direction to assigned project staff, including engineers, drafters, designers, field staff, and administrative support.
    • Leverage accomplished technical capabilities to determine design approaches, establish courses of action, and review results for accuracy and thoroughness.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements.
    • Prepare various project documents, including reports, proposals, estimates, bid documents, and permit applications.
    • Develop project understanding and approach for proposals.
    • Keep projects on schedule and within budget, communicating potential issues to the Project Manager.
    • Develop and implement strategies to identify and obtain repeat work from core, developing, and private clients.
    • May serve as a client relationship manager for a limited number of clients.
    • May be designated as an Assistant Project Manager.

    Required Experience/Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
    • 5+ years of municipal engineering experience.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) License.
    • Proficiency with computer-based design tools (AutoCAD, GIS, REVIT).
    • Full understanding of permitting and funding agency requirements.
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving ability.
    • Sound time management skills.
    • Self-motivated with a strong desire to advance.
    • Valid driver's license and registered insured vehicle.

    Nice-to-Haves:

    • Experience in business development and selling skills.
    • Interest in developing client relationships.

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
