    Summary:

    In this pivotal role reporting to the Director of Practice Solutions, the incumbent will shape the strategy and direction of the technology training team. The position involves identifying firm needs, recommending training improvements, and overseeing curriculum development. Additionally, the role includes establishing standard processes, leading firmwide program rollouts, and collaborating with IT and other departments on technology changes. This presents a unique opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvements in technology training programs and enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

    Responsibilities:

    Management:

    • Coach and mentor the technology training team, ensuring consistent and high-quality performance.
    • Develop and monitor professional development plans for each team member to maintain current skills.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback in collaboration with Human Resources.

    Training and Curriculum Strategy:

    • Review and evaluate current training programs, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Strategize and implement solutions to address future needs of the firm.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address knowledge gaps.
    • Research and implement best practices in training and development, drawing insights from similar-sized firms.
    • Oversee the development of all training content.

    Training Delivery:

    • Align onboarding for staff and attorneys with individual and firm needs.
    • Coordinate new employee orientation with HR staff and office managers, as necessary.
    • Schedule, conduct, and oversee various training programs.
    • Manage the firm's Learning Management System (LMS).

    Technology:

    • Collaborate closely with IT colleagues to align training with technology changes and firmwide rollouts.
    • Participate in IT projects as a leader of the technology training team to ensure project success.
    • Ensure the training function is equipped to address overall technology needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Prior experience with curriculum development, training delivery, and adult learning is required.
    • Previous law firm experience is mandatory.
    • Management experience is preferred.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
    • Proficient with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
    • Proficient with Adobe Captivate and TechSmith Camtasia.
    • Experience in administrating a Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred.
    • Strong technical translation ability.
    • Demonstrated skills in strategy development and implementation.
    • Ability to manage and support organizational change.
    • Strong client service focus and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Travel is required.
