    Catapult Solutions is currently qualifying Maintenance Technicians for a long-term opportunity. This Maintenance Technician should be Electro-Mechanically skilled and have extensive experience with both electrical and mechanical components with a wide variety of mechanical systems. PLC controls experience is highly desired.

    Maintenance Technician responsibilities:

    • Improve the uptime and reduce the cost of the mill by gaining a thorough knowledge of the standard practices, tools and terminology of the electrical aspects of the mill
    • Ability to perform manual electrical work
    • Ability to make repairs to complicated automation equipment and electrical wiring and by training others to do so
    • skill in the use of electrical maintenance, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair
    • Ability to plan and supervise the work of other maintenance subordinates
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.

    Essential Job Duties of Maintenance Technician:

    • Understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting
    • Must have knowledge with experience with PLC’s, Motors, Transformers, MCC’s and typical sensors/switches found in automated manufacturing processes.
    • Strong mechanical, analytical and solution driven skills
    • Excellent communication ability
    • OT may be required, some weekends as needed
    • Proficient in the use of a multi-meter, Meggar and basic tools and machinery used to maintain industrial equipment
    • Prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Ability to read measuring devices, drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
    • Maintain a safe work environment for teammates on the shift; Document any safety related incidents, address poor safety acts immediately with teammates, Document equipment or process safety improvements so management or maintenance can make improvement modifications
    • Maintenance Organization: Generate work lists and complete tasks, Ensure the work order system and maintenance process is being followed, Efficiently and effectively organize day to day activities, assist management in planning and prioritizing future work, Support operations by quickly responding to breakdown issues and working to improve the process through engineering solutions and root cause failure analysis.

    Qualifications and Experience for Maintenance Technician:

    • 5-10 years electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician/Engineer experience
    • Overhead crane experience a plus
    • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines
    • Ability to motivate and communicate clearly with others
    • Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, Judgement/Decision making, must be able to adapt to schedule changes (for repairs)

     

    Job Types: Full-time, Contract

    Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Based on experience

    Experience level:
