Built around quality, transparency, and thoughtful curation, this growing brand is seeking a Category Buyer – Center Store to help manage and evolve its dry goods assortment.

This role is ideal for a buyer who enjoys balancing data-driven decision-making with strong product intuition—owning inventory, vendor partnerships, and assortment strategy in a fast-paced, in-store retail environment.

    What You’ll Do

    • Own buying and replenishment for center store / dry goods categories, in collaboration with category leadership
    • Analyze sales, margin, inventory levels, turns, and shrink to drive accurate ordering and strong performance
    • Manage the product lifecycle, informed by consumer preferences, trends, and competitive dynamics
    • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including pricing discussions and issue resolution
    • Make assortment and pricing recommendations that balance volume, margin, and customer demand
    • Partner closely with receiving, finance, and store leadership to resolve inventory discrepancies
    • Support category reviews and performance improvement initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with food safety, operational standards, and company procedures

    What We’re Looking For

    • Minimum 2+ years of retail grocery buying experience, ideally within center store or dry goods categories
    • Experience in natural, organic, or health-forward grocery strongly preferred
    • Strong analytical skills with comfort working across sales, margin, and inventory reports
    • Proficiency with Excel, ERP, POS, or inventory management systems
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, in-store retail environment with shifting priorities
    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

    Working Environment

    • On-site role with regular time spent on the sales floor
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
    • Schedule includes rotating shifts, weekends, and some holidays

    Why This Role

This is an opportunity to join a growing, design-forward grocery concept where buyers have meaningful ownership and visibility. You’ll partner closely with leadership, influence assortment decisions, and play a key role in delivering a premium, thoughtfully curated customer experience.
