Main Responsibilities :
The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during private events, weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions. This role requires efficiency, professionalism, and strong customer service skills to ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience while maintaining compliance with alcohol service laws and company standards.
Set up banquet bar(s) according to event specifications, including stocking alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and portion controls
Verify guest age identification and adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area before, during, and after events
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and address issues professionally
Process drink tickets, cash, or hosted bar transactions accurately (as applicable)
Break down and properly store all bar equipment and leftover inventory after events
Communicate effectively with banquet staff, servers, and management to ensure seamless service
Maintain knowledge of current drink trends, classic cocktails, beer, and wine
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
Minimum age requirement per state law to serve alcohol
Previous bartending experience (banquet or high-volume preferred)
Knowledge of cocktail preparation and standard drink recipes
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs
Alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred
Two years professional experience in a bartending role
Professional appearance and demeanor
Strong multitasking ability in fast-paced environments
Attention to detail and accuracy
Team-oriented mindset
Excellent communication skills
