    POSTING ON BEHALF OF OUR SISTER COMPANY, SAVORY CATERING

    We are looking for another great person to join our team at our catering company, Savory Catering! You will be joining our team at one of our Corporate Cafes, in Plano. (5101 Tennyson Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024) This position primarily is cooking.

    And if you're looking to make a some extra on your days off, there are opportunities constantly to pick up a shift for one of our catering events as well!

    Compensation: $15-17 hourly depending on experience

    Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

    Cook Responsibilities:

    Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.

    Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.

    Cook according to food health and safety standards.

    Handling multiple food orders at one time.

    Ensure great presentation and food quality before serving the food.

    Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides.

    Delivering food orders to wait staff in a timely manner.

    Stepping in to take customer orders (as cashier) if needed

    Any other duties deemed necessary to the position.

    Cook Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a restaurant cook. (Minimum 2 years)

    Valid Food Handlers certification (or must be willing to obtain)

    Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

    Self-motivated and self-directed.

    Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.

    Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders.

    Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.

    Effective communication skills

    Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)

    Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.

    Authorized to work in the United States.
