Catering Crew Member – Job Description

Overview

Catering Crew Members help deliver an exceptional Dr. Dawg experience at events, pop‑ups, and on‑site service locations. This role blends hospitality, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure guests receive great food and friendly service.

Key Responsibilities

Event Setup & Breakdown

Set up the cart, serving station, and prep areas

Transport supplies, equipment, and food items

Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the event

Food Preparation & Service

Prepare and serve menu items (hot dogs, sausages, Italian beef, etc.)

Assemble toppings accurately and efficiently

Follow all food safety and handling procedures

Guest Interaction

Greet guests warmly and provide helpful, friendly service

Answer questions about menu items and toppings

Keep service moving smoothly during high‑volume periods

Operational Support

Restock ingredients and supplies as needed

Assist with inventory tracking and post‑event cleanup

Communicate any issues or needs to the event lead or manager

Qualifications

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs

Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented

Prior food service experience is a plus but not required

Work Environment

On‑site events, indoor or outdoor

Variable hours depending on event schedule
