  • Responsibilities

    The Hotel Catering Sales Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating food, beverage, and event space for weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. They drive revenue by prospecting clients, negotiating contracts, and upselling catering packages, while guiding event details from the initial inquiry to flawless on-site execution. Responsibilities: • Sales & Prospecting: Solicit and book local corporate, social, and SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal) catering business. Conduct site tours, manage inbound leads, and close deals. • Event Planning & BEOs: Translate client needs into detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and function sheets. Work with the culinary and operational teams to finalize menus, room layouts, and timelines. • Revenue Optimization: Meet or exceed personal and hotel sales goals. Upsell food, beverage, and audiovisual enhancements while negotiating room rentals and minimum food and beverage spends. • Client & Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business. Coordinate with outside vendors (e.g., florists, decorators). Qualifications: • Prior catering sales experience. • Marriott experience ideal but not required. • Upbeat personality. Compensation: $30 hourly
