Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) with Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (IR) experience to provide on-demand procedural support and in-servicing across the Austin area. This PRN/1099 role offers the independence of consulting while supporting advanced cardiovascular and peripheral interventions.
Responsibilities
Provide scrub and monitor support in Cath Lab, Hybrid OR, or Special Procedures suites.
Assist physicians with interventional cardiovascular and peripheral procedures.
Educate and in-service staff on device usage, troubleshooting, and procedural workflows.
Support advanced interventions such as TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, thrombectomy, and vascular access devices.
Maintain knowledge of current interventional techniques and emerging technologies.
Travel regionally within the Austin area (mileage reimbursed).
Qualifications
Required:
Active RT(R) credential.
3+ years of Cath Lab, IR, or Hybrid OR experience.
Hands-on exposure to interventional devices (e.g., Impella, AngioJet, Inari, IVUS, pacemakers/ICDs).
Strong communication and staff education skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
Preferred:
Prior in-servicing or device education experience.
Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular and peripheral interventions.
Additional Information
Compensation & Structure
Hourly Pay: $50–$75/hr ($104,000 – $156,000 annualized, depending on hours worked).
Mileage reimbursement: IRS rate.
Type: PRN/1099 contractor.
Schedule: Flexible, based on case coverage needs.
