    Position: Cath Lab Technician

    Shift Notes:07:00 - 15:30

    Location: EVANSTON, IL 60202

    Job Type: Traveler

    Start date:05/11/2026 - 08/09/2026

    Pay: $70-$73 per hour

    Unit Requirements:

    All clinicians (RNs/TECHs) are required to take On Call. About 16-18 days on-call per 6 weeks scheduling.

    Job Responsibilities

    Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic support by conducting organ or body scans.

    Prepare and position patients; accurately select anatomic and technical parameters.

    Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations.

    Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal findings.

    Follow radiation safety procedures and established guidelines.

    Review imaging protocols and recommend updates or improvements as needed.

    Perform specialized imaging procedures, including:

    Angiography (angio)

    Complex vascular procedures

    Non-vascular interventional and therapeutic procedures

    Assist Radiologist/Physician Assistant during procedures.

    Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

    Licensure / Certification / Registration

    BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

    Cardiographic Technician credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International required prior to hire or transfer.

    Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) credential from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required prior to hire or transfer (any specialty accepted).

    Radiologic Technologist License issued by Illinois Emergency Management Agency required in combination with ARRT certification.

    Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from CCI preferred.

    Education & Experience

    High School diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of relevant experience

    Associate’s degree / Technical degree

    Minimum 4 years of relevant, job-specific experience
