Resume Skills Checklist 2 References Certifications- ACLS, BLS, ARRT & RCIS ( with IR experience preferred) 2 years minimum experience Location: Mesquite Tx 75149 Shift: Days- 0630- 3p ( flexible schedule) Duration: 13 weeks On- Call requirement: Yes- Rotating call 12-15 days per month and every other weekend. (Call schedule may vary per unit needs) Call hours: M-F 3p-0630, weekends 0700-0700 (24 hrs.) Covid patients: Yes Charting system: Epic Scrubs: any color- Hospital also provides them.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures and/ or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.

Certified to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum.

Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.

Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.

Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.

Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Prepares power injector and contrast medium.

Injects contrast during procedures and monitors injector rates/ quantity of contrast administered during all procedures Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment.

Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.

Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies; restocks as needed. Is well versed in x-ray principles as they relate to cardiovascular procedures, cine angiography, and fluoroscopy.

Completes data entry as assigned, including patient charges.

Assists co-workers in the provision of continuous quality patient care as assigned by the Charge Nurse and/or Director.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

Previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab; required

Cardiovascular technician training program with an emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring, is preferred.

BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current

Certified Cardiovascular Technician; CCPT (invasive emphasis), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCPT (invasive emphasis), preferred

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); is required.

BLS, ACLS; RCIS certification preferred.
