Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Experience with EP or vascular procedures preferred but not required
Licenses/Certifications
- MA Radiology License required (may be pending at submission)
- ARRT Radiology credentials required
- ACLS required
Key Responsibilities (Cath Lab Focus)
- Assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Scrubbing and supporting procedures including PCI, left and right heart catheterizations, and angioplasty
- Preparing and maintaining Cath Lab equipment and sterile fields
- Monitoring patients throughout procedures and responding to complications
- Collaborating with cardiology and procedural teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care
- Maintaining accurate documentation of procedures and patient responses (Epic preferred)
Additional Unit Details
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Exposure to cardiac cath, electrophysiology (EP), and vascular procedures
- Experience with advanced procedures such as TAVR, Impella, IABP, and Watchman is a plus
