    Catherine’s Cottage Daycare is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. Our main objective is to provide a nurturing environment that caters to the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical needs of children while ensuring their safety and well-being. The chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our curriculum and creating a positive learning environment that fosters a lifelong passion for learning in children. Benefits: • Paid training for CPR and First Aid • Outstanding company culture! • Employee Referral Program • Flexible Schedule Job Type: Part-time (20-30 hrs/wk) Responsibilities: • Assisting teachers in preparing lesson plans and materials for classes • Age and developmentally-appropriate interaction with the children to support play, exploration, and learning • Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering • Participation in staff and training meetings • Meeting NJ state requirements • Monitoring and assessing student progress to inform instruction Qualifications: • Minimum 1-year experience in a group setting working directly with Infants and Toddlers • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices • A kind and patient nature; A desire to foster a productive and fun learning environment through positive goal setting in a team environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA preferred Compensation: $16 hourly
