    Job Description

    General Summary:

    Catholics for Choice seeks a qualified professional to serve as our Digital Media and Marketing Manager (“Manager”). Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all digital media efforts that promote and protect our brand image. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing assets and content creation to all departments within CFC. This role reports to the Chief of Staff, deputy to CFC President Jamie Manson.

    The department under the manager’s supervision comprises two team members with different experience levels. At CFC, efficient management and development of direct reports are highly valued. We are currently at a crucial juncture in CFC's history and require a visionary, innovative, and empathetic leader who comprehends the unique position of our organization in both the religious and reproductive rights spheres. Additionally, candidates must be strongly dedicated to maintaining a culture of inclusivity, openness, generosity, and mutual honor and appreciation.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Digital Media Strategy

    • Contribute positively to organizational culture and reflect CFC’s values.
    • Work with the President to assist with strategic planning and implementation of communications projects.
    • Oversee and provide supervision to direct reports and provide guidance, direction, and support.
    • Actively engage with CFC staff and partners to understand CFC’s mission and vision and gather stories for various campaigns and initiatives.

    Marketing Execution

    • Manage the creation, development, distribution, and maintenance of electronic collateral, including, but not limited to, newsletters, annual reports, websites, and social media accounts.
    • Offer organization-wide support in the creation of assets used internally and externally.
    • Utilize Google Analytics, paid advertising, and digital strategy to expand virtual reach.
    • Work with CFC team members to collect, organize, and share compelling stories about our organization and its impact.
    • In partnership with the Director of Development, craft and execute a multi-channel content strategy and campaigns for fundraising.
    • Track engagement metrics to determine the success of CFC’s marketing efforts.
    • Prospecting, managing, and stewarding relationships with marketing vendors.
    • Oversee and execute the communications and marketing strategy for all CFC events and community engagement activities.
    • Assist with media-related materials (press releases, media alerts, media lists, etc.).
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred. Emphasis in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or English is preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of general Communications experience, including at least two (2) years of specialized experience working in advocacy or non-profit work
    • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential, including explaining complex reproductive health issues to the public.
    • Familiarity with major social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok and experience in digital storytelling.
    • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
    • Ability to work quickly and cooperatively under pressure to meet deadlines.
    • Hopeful, energetic outlook and devotion to our mission.
    • Working knowledge of multiple computer software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Cision, Salesforce, and EveryAction.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and commitment to CFC’s core mission of the right to make decisions about abortion and reproductive health care.
    • Experience in and knowledge of the reproductive rights movement.
    • Knowledge of the Catholic Church and Catholic theology is a bonus.

    Additional Information

    Compensation:

    • The salary for this position is $75,00 to $85,000 and will be commensurate with relevant degrees and professional experience.

    CFC’s generous employee benefits include:

    • 403(b) Plan with employer contribution after one year;
    • Paid family and medical leave of up to 12 weeks;
    • Paid parental leave up to 16 weeks;
    • 20 days paid leave per calendar year (CFC will transition to an open leave policy in 2024, which requires team members to take at least five weeks off each year, in addition to paid holidays and office closures);
    • 13 paid holidays per calendar year;
    • Paid time off during end-of-year office closures (December 23-31); and
    • Currently operating on a half-day schedule on Fridays.

    Location:

    This position will be based in Washington, DC, and will work in-person on a hybrid model (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home).
