WHO YOU ARE… The Digital Media Planner will be responsible for the design, execution, and communication of media plans and proposals for Causal iQ's most important clients. The Digital Media Planner is a hybrid role requiring subject matter knowledge, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. Job duties include working with sales teams to understand client needs and requirements, conducting media planning research, analyzing competitive activity in the marketplace and translating learnings into actionable insights for client facing summaries and presentations. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, strong problem solver, and is adept at explaining technical concepts to business people and marketers. Additionally, the Strategic Media Planner must be a “people person” with a passion for developing strong relationships with both internal and external partners. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES New business development support, including media planning and product development recommendations informed by marketplace innovation Develop communication/media recommendations based off research and ensure seamless implementation of communication plans Willingness to occasionally work long hours in order meet a deadline Ability to operate autonomously with strong planning, scheduling and problem solving skills Coordinating with the customer, account team, support team and technical personnel on all sides to meet customer needs Identify enhancement opportunities and drive creative solutions that meet client marketing initiatives and anticipate future needs Ensure a good working relationship with account and client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans Help establish best practices across the enterprise and facilitate knowledge sharing KEY COMPETENCIES Familiarity and/or experience with: Presentation software, including: Strong MS Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) – VBA a plus Project Management: Be the technical subject matter expert and client liaison while collaborating with internal teams to drive the execution and delivery of key client initiatives. Data sources and technologies, such as: Syndicated Consumer (e.g. Simmons, MRI), Syndicated Sales (e.g. IRI, Nielsen), Media Consumption (e.g. N-Power, Arbitron, Comscore), 1st Party (e.g. CRM), 3rd Party (e.g. Blue Kai), and Digital Ad Server (e.g. DART, Atlas, Mediamind) Communication: High comfort level in developing and delivering presentations EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BS/BA degree Client-side experience highly desirable Familiarity with, or strong desire to learn about, online marketing and display advertising. 1+ years of experience in digital advertising analytics preferred, but candidates with no experience will also be considered.
