Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The role of the Electrician Assistant is expected to provide the highest level of assistance to our construction team to ensure the quality of our residential portfolio, rehab properties, and other projects we take on as a company. They are responsible for assisting our Construction team and Electricians in performing assigned tasks and maintaining, promoting, develop and expanding the business of our organization and its interests generally. You must carry out your duties to the best of your ability, having consideration for the needs of your colleagues and the Organization and its clients/customers. You must obey all lawful and reasonable orders given to you and comply with the organization’s rules, procedures and policies. • General assistance to the electrician including work on installations, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, repair, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. • Properly mounts and installs assigned work conduit, wires, and strapping as directed. • Performing semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment. • Liaising with electricians and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required., in accordance with the contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits. • Undertaking tasks to assist the electrician generally. • Immediately report problems/failures that may impact the organization and/or its clients/customers or which you think may affect the health and safety of Senior Electricians. • Maintain accurate worksheets and records/documentation associated with your work. Qualifications: • 1+ year(s) of related experience • High School Diploma or equivalent • Know how to perform single residential phase service change-outs. • Must have pertinent knowledge of meter bases, residential panels, and can change out home electrical services (meter and outdoor panels) • Ability to access crawl spaces • Ability to work well with customers • Excellent verbal communication, including working well with customers, and having a great attitude. Compensation: $12 - $14 hourly
