    Cawley & Bergmann, LLC. (a subsidiary of National Recovery Associates, Inc.) is a nationally licensed consumer debt collection agency headquartered in Newark, New Jersey with secondary offices in Buffalo New York, Jacksonville Florida and Montego Bay Jamaica. The company is rapidly expanding and seeking an experienced, talented Compliance Analyst to help facilitate and oversee the Company’s Compliance Management System.

    The company is seeking an experienced and skilled Compliance Analyst to assist the Operations and Compliance department with quality assurance oversight of the company’s explosive growth. Through deployment of a variety of technology suites, the ideal candidate will design, deploy and manage several components of the company’s quality assurance standard enforcement and Compliance Management System. A candidate who is tech-savvy, team oriented and process focused will find great success in this role with opportunity for advancement.

    The Compliance Analyst works directly with the Chief Compliance Office and other members of the Compliance Department to design, develop and deploy policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and client standards while ensuring consumer’s have positive experiences at every touch point with the company culminating in the resolution of their debt obligations. The company deploys a variety of advanced technology suites to manage and automate much of the CMS; the Compliance Analyst will maintain and oversee many of these technology suites as well as audit their functionality and effectuate changes when necessary.

    Candidates will ideally reside in a metro area in proximity to one of the company’s physical offices for full-time, in person work; remote positions will be considered for stellar candidates with a proven record of independent remote work.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with team of Quality Assurance professionals responsible for monitoring employee activities including communication reviews and risk assessments
    • Liaise with client counterparts to ensure compliance standards are exceeded; serve as point of contact for auditing procedures
    • Assist in review and response to inquiries from consumer debtors, clients, legal representatives
    • Review and implement established procedures and practices
    • Propose and implement enhancements to established procedures and practices through technological automations
    • Evaluate work produced for performance and compliance standards; relay effective coaching feedback and techniques to team members
    • Evaluate exception logs and perform investigations to deploy root cause analyses
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state laws including but not limited to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA)

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 2+ Years Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) industry experience
    • 2+ years compliance experience in ARM or related industry
    • Paralegal, compliance, audit and/or quality assurance experience/training required
    • Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of Federal and State laws governing credit and collections, including regulatory compliance surrounding consumer financial services
    • Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of best practices for credit and collections
    • Ability to design and implement policies, procedures and training programs
