OVERVIEW
The United States Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Integrated Operations Division (IOD) leads and coordinates national programs and policies on physical critical infrastructure and has established strong partnerships across government and the private sector. The CISA Central Physical is a part of the Office of the Assistant Director and is both an operational component and the critical infrastructure element of the DHS National Operations Center (NOC).
The CISA Central Physical coordinates the national network dedicated to the security and resilience of the Nation's critical infrastructure by providing continuous (24 hours a day, 7 days a week 24/7) situational awareness, facilitating information sharing, and fostering unity of effort.
We are currently seeking a Watch Plan Development lead to support efforts on a contract under the CISA Central Physical.
The Watch Plan Development Lead shall assist the CISA Central Physical in enhancing operational readiness through the development and maintenance of operational documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, update, and maintain all Watch-related concept of operations, Standard Operating Procedures, Operating Instructions, and any material for standardization of watch operations procedures and work-flows in accordance with DHS Planning Process Participate in operational planning teams Processes and procedures to support cyber/physical integration efforts Consolidation of existing products and development of templates Continuity of Operations Plans Watch Briefings Ensuring Watch equities are captured in Integrated Operations Division (IOD) and CISA doctrine
Under the guidance of Watch leadership, this role shall provide support as directed to support CISA incident management operations at the CISA Crisis Action Team (CAT), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Response Coordination Center, the DHS OPS Crisis Action Team (CAT), and Regional Offices or Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline such as Homeland Security or Business, or a combination of education and experience (Associate's Degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience).
Experience: Knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) structure and emergency management operations. Candidates shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience/expertise in the planning process and work flows, development and maintenance of operational documentation to include: SOPs, OIs, templates, checklists and briefings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Microsoft Sharpoint Desired
