    JOB SUMMARY:

    Ensures China branch office’s operations align with the head office’s objectives, mission & vision. Oversees passenger sales and marketing in China. Acts as representative of the Head Office for regulatory, trade, government and media relations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the overall development, maintenance and expansion of the China branch office, including but not limited to passenger sales, marketing, trade, government & media relations, finance, etc.
    • Drives increase in sales revenue and widening the distribution while managing the cost of sale.
    • Scouts for other potential market opportunities in China.
    • Establishes key relationships with travel associations, tourism boards, media and other airlines in China.
    • Works closely with local airport authority, regulatory bodies & government entities in China for daily operational requirements.
    • Works closely with the Philippine Embassy, Philippine Department of Tourism in China and Marketing Promotions Team in promoting the Philippines.
    • Coordinates, spearheads and liaises with other departments for important matters affecting sales-related objectives and strategies.
    • Drives the airline’s strategic branding and marketing plan.
    • Regularly communicates and reports to Director Passenger Sales, Revenue Management and Director all Passenger Sales status of performance against sales and market shares. Discusses key issues and recommends appropriate actions on the route/s which needs enhancement.
    • Ensures proper financial and management controls for the branch office.
    • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the Director, Passenger Sales.

    LEVEL OF AUTHORITY:

    • Represent CEB in regulatory boards, travel-related associations, China-based Philippine government events and activities.
    • Settlement of minor local complaints instead of sending them to Customer Care.
    • Act on behalf of company to liaise with local business partners.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least a graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Economics, Business Administration and Tourism, MBA or some Units in Graduate School a plus.
    • Senior Managerial experience in an airline/travel industry of at least 5 years.
    • Willing to be based in Shanghai, China.
    • Preferably a Chinese citizen.
    • Must be proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese.
