Cedar Park Med is seeking Behavioral Health Associates in New York, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the comfort of patients during and between treatments 
• Immediately reports extreme and dangerous changes in client's condition and/or behavior to medical personnel; immediately reports hazardous conditions which can endanger the well-being of clients, visitors, and hospital staff to the appropriate personnel
• Bathe, dress and/or feed patients based on individual abilities
• Provide transport to and from treatments
• Measure vital signs and take samples of urine, stool, or sputum as needed by the healthcare provider
• Performs CPR as needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

1. An Associate's degree in criminal justice, social services, or a health-related area; or
2. A High School diploma or a G.E.D and two years of Full-time experience in law enforcement, nursing, or psychiatric/behavioral health in a high volume, intensive care environment; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. However, all candidates must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or a G.E.D.

• 2 yrs of experience in behavioral health required
• AHA BLS 
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices

Cedar Park Med is offering full-time, part-time, and per diem placements on either a short-term (contract) or long-term (permanent) basis.
