CEDAR PARK MED, Central New York's leading medical staffing specialist, is seeking to hire two caring and responsible Recreational Therapists to fulfill 8 month contracts.

The positions' objective is to effect improvement in the clients' physical, mental and social well-being. One Recreation Therapist is needed on an adolescent psychiatry unit and another is needed on an adult psychiatry unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans and conducts activities for clients'/patients' groups working individually or as a member of the treatment team.
• Assist patients to engage in leisure activities to improve mind, body, and spirit.
• Work to achieve the goal of patient adjustment to life with disease, injury, or disability. 
• Function as part of a group by analyzing and reporting behavioral patterns to the treatment team or others. 
• Additionally, the therapist is expected to requisition, store, and maintain equipment and supplies.

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation or a related field and
• 1 year of professional Recreation experience in a therapeutic, instructional o rehabilitation setting

SHIFT: Days, rotating weekends, holidays.
