Trade Desk Support / Equity, Options + Fixed Income Execution Chatham, NJ

Location: Trade Desk at Corporate Office in Chatham, New Jersey (Morris County) (20 miles outside of Manhattan)

Candidate should have experience of all functions on a FINRA Member Broker-Dealer trade desk and middle office experience and perform well in a small fast-paced environment.

This full time position’s focus is clerical and is detailed oriented; involving some middle office responsibilities; supporting other traders on the desk as well as the firm’s institutional customers. The role requires the candidate to have current non expired series 7, 55/57 + 63 licenses and whose recent experience was focused in a support role on an equity’s and options trade desk for at least five or more years. Experience with fixed income also needed.

Must be proficient in Excel. Candidate must possess a series 7 and 55 license. Series 24 a plus. Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Sterling Trader, RediPlus or similar OMS is needed. The candidate should have the skills necessary to perform in a sometimes-fast environment.

Must have excellent telephone manner, strong communication and organizational skills. This position demands attention to detail.

Primary responsibilities will be:

• Assisting traders
• Receive, place + report orders
• Resolve trade problems
• Trading data compilation and review
• Assist in preparation of regulatory monthly compliance reviews + reporting
• Reconciliation of Accounts when necessary
• Daily log of client orders and end-of-day trade reconciliation
• Review of electronic and paper-based exception reports.
• Assist in various projects, assignments and investigations as assigned by the trading room supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
