Seeking a Full-time or Part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in-person for a school-based assignment in San Jose, CA, to join our team in treating and assisting with caseload management at the elementary age level grades K-5. Finish out the 2023-2024 school year with potential for extension through the 2024-2025 SY! Inclusive school site, collaborative SpEd team & staff, easy & below average caseload size – it’s a perfect position!
Celebrations Speech Group is a private practice and Non-Public Agency with decades of experience providing quality special education and therapy services to children with special needs in schools, homes, and in-clinic. Responsibilities:
Implement direct therapy and treatment plans under the supervision of an SLP.
Document and store treatment plans and progress reports.
Update student progress twice yearly.
Assist in scheduling IEP meetings and maintaining speech files.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License
Associate's Degree in Speech Pathology or a Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders.
Ability to build rapport with staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive and collaborative demeanor.
Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of populations
Exercise good judgment in prioritization - complete assigned tasks without supervision
