**Job Description:
** The Social Media and Multimedia Intern will learn from and support the Assistant Manager of Digital Marketing in creating compelling social media content in support of the Celebrity Series of Boston's marketing department goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about the performing arts and interested in working in a fast-paced nonprofit work environment.

**Responsibilities:
** · Drafts and schedules social media copy and content for a wide variety of channels including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Medium, and TikTok
· Contributes ideas to the social media content calendar in Asana, and brainstorms content opportunities and ways to grow and amplify the Celebrity Series of Boston brand
· Develops reports on social media analytics, reviews analytics of recent posts and uses learning to inform future campaign decisions
· Creates “live” content for Celebrity Series of Boston events, including contributing on the ground in real time to Instagram and Facebook story creation
· Promotes free Neighborhood Arts performance sign ups by creating content for social media campaigns by researching artists and identifying ways to closely collaborate with the artists and the audience to drive registration and performance attendance
· Captures video footage on the ground for storytelling purposes and use in Celebrity Series' brand content
· Edits graphics and videos for social media using Canva and optimizes content for different social platform placements
· Updates and maintains Facebook event pages for upcoming performances
**Desired qualifications:
** · We are looking for a currently enrolled undergraduate, recent graduate, doctoral or diploma (2022 or 2023) or graduate student, studying art, film, music, communications, journalism, media, marketing, graphic design, animation, or an adjacent field, or who has similar experience
· General knowledge of and passion for the performing arts industry and a desire to connect people through the arts
· Must have excellent writing and communication skills and experience proofreading and editing their work
· Must be attentive to detail, have the ability to meet deadlines, and be a self-starter
· Excitement about technology and the ability to learn new technologies and social media platforms
· Previous social media, design, or videography experience is preferred but not required
Compensation and Time Requirements:
** · $15 per hour up to 10 hours per week, over the course of 2-3 days per week during business hours, with some evening and weekend work during the performance season
· Internship dates are from Mid January through early May (flexible start and end date based on academic schedule)
· This internship is hybrid and very flexible: remote and in person work depends on event schedule, duties of the week, and candidate's interest in the in-office experience

The Celebrity Series offices are located at 20 Park Plaza in Boston's Back Bay. The building is convenient to public transportation and fully accessible. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Some work might be required off-site, still within the Greater Boston area.
