WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED for US based Dari and Pashto Translators - Localization & Translation of Learning Content

We are a fast-growing startup on a mission to help adults expand knowledge and skills for life and work on their cellphones. Our products are instructional, yet clear and friendly.

As a translator, you will play a critical consultancy role in a large-scale project in partnership with the California Department of Social Services Refugee Programs Bureau to provide easy access to English language learning education and training on essential life skills for living in the U.S.

We are looking for a native Dari/Pashto speaker who will use their cultural and translation expertise to:

1. Scan scripts of existing English content to inform team of cultural red flag
2. Translate script content, ensuring that content conveys the original meaning and proper use of tone (friendly, yet polite)
3. Communicate closely with Cell-Ed team members to ensure quality and continuous improvement of translations across scope of project

All scripts are in Google Doc format, ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 words with 1-2 week turnaround, depending on script length and project priorities.
