Center Administrator - Urgent care
We are looking for an experienced center administrator to manage the day to day operations at a busy urgent care in Pleasanton, CA. Ideal candidate will have managerial experience, preferably in a medical setting.
Job Summary
To manage operations for an urgent care clinic. Manage all non-provider clinic staff. Ensure quality of patient care. Ensure maintenance of clinic building and supplies. Ensure complete and accurate charges are attributed to each patient. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, and complete onboarding processes for various roles; front office medical receptionist, medical assistant, x-ray, and other positions
Supervise, evaluate, and execute performance evaluations of non-provider staff
Proficient or able to quickly learn all diagnostic equipment and procedures preformed in clinic - acts as expert consultation for new staff, provides feedback and corrective action to MA's for any process or documentation errors.
Partner with Medical Director & providers to ensure that medical care is delivered in accordance with provider instructions and that high-quality care is rendered
Ensure staff compliance with company policies and procedures and state and federal rules and regulations
Lead and organize staff meetings and in-service programs
Spearhead the resolution of patient and staff concerns / conflicts while continually monitoring patient satisfaction through various tools
Ensure compliance with front office procedures and accuracy of financial transactions including constant communication with billing department to identify and correct deficient charts & documentation / billing improvement projects.
Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, and adequate stock of regular medical and janitorial supplies. Monitors compliance of daily clinic task / cleaning checkoff lists.
Monitor various key performance indicators and put programs in place for continual improvement
scheduling of non-provider staff
cultivates relationships with specialists and ancillary services to further referral network. Follows up on referrals / prior authorizations as needed. Maintains a good working relationship with partnering laboratories to resolve any result / collection / processing issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
A minimum of two years experience working in a supervisory role in a medical office preferred
Demonstrated skills in written, verbal, and consultative communications
Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction
Understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines
Familiarity with Experity electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.
