The Center for Health Empowerment is a sexual health clinic offering STI testing and treatment, HIV PrEP, PEP, and ART, that aims to increase community awareness, provides strategies for priority populations to reduce personal risk identify new infections through community testing, and linkage to care and treatment. All services are focused on meeting the National HIV/AIDS Strategy objectives of 1) Reducing new HIV Infections; 2) Increasing access to care to improve health outcomes for people living with HIV and 3) Reducing HIV-related health disparities. The Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with support staff and is responsible for providing and overseeing care and education for patients at the clinic. They complete all portions of the SOAP note to standard and provide both face to face and audio-visual distance care. Other activities are in support and of patient/family education, staff education and clinic duties.

Graduate of accredited nursing and NP program. Current Texas licensure. Minimum 2 years in an advance practice role.

Previous experience with sexual health testing and treatment, biomedical HIV prevention including PrEP, and N-PEP, HIV treatment and referral for other conditions preferred.

English/Spanish bilingual preferred.

TWO NP POSITIONS:

1. Western Trails Clinic: Tuesdays: 4-8pm; Wednesdays: 12-8pm; Friday: 9am-3pm and every other Saturday 9am - 3pm

2. St. James Clinic: Mondays: 4-8pm; Thursdays: 4pm-8pm and every other Saturday 9am -3pm.
