  • Responsibilities

    KPS Global is looking for a Team Lead, to join the Manufacturing team.

    The Team Lead is responsible for directing, coaching, and mentoring employees under supervision in an assigned area to perform jobs in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role also performs manufacturing duties in an assigned area when needed, and ensures KPS Global is able to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards and satisfy customer requirements.

    Required Skills

    • Coaching, training, counseling, and evaluating performance of team members against company production, safety, quality, and management standards
    • Managing team members to ensure productivity, safety, and efficiency levels are obtained; also responsible for communicating the status of objectives to the team
    • Performing duties of assigned area including assembly and serving as a machine operator and material handler
    • Resolving issues through root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
    • Inspecting products to ensure conformance to quality, engineering, and customer requirements
    • Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes paperwork including checklists, stamping, blue prints, bar coding, and shipping materials
    • Performing duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and KPS Global Code of Conduct requirements
    • Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards

    Required Experience

    • High School Diploma
    • 3 – 5 years of manufacturing experience
    • Proven ability to understand commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment
    • Complete understanding of job flow principles and the impact of events in delaying downstream processes
    • Good verbal and written communication skills within the English language
    • Basic computer skills
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, safety, and quality standards
    • Ability to think analytically, perform root cause analysis, and have a mechanical aptitude
    • Basic understanding of carrying out HR duties
    • Ability to speak Spanish preferred
    • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the work day
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs alone and over 50 lbs with assistance
    • Must be able to climb and balance
    • Must be able to use hands to reach, handle, and/or feel
