The Center for Community Alternatives (CCA) is a leader in the field of community-based alternatives to incarceration. Through innovative and pioneering services as well as the research, public advocacy, and training of its Justice Strategies division, CCA fosters individual transformation and reduced reliance on incarceration, and advocates for more responsive juvenile and criminal justice policies. This position will work in a nonprofit fund accounting environment, managing revenue and expense for over 60 diverse grants and contracts in multiple program areas. Grants come from multiple levels of government (federal, state, and local), are of different durations, and have different funding years, resulting in funding structures that are both dynamic and complex. Position Summary: Under general supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Finance team with general accounting functions including accounts payable, preparing journal entries, recording revenue, entering cash receipts, and supporting grant billing. ****Under general supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Finance team with general accounting functions including accounts payable, preparing journal entries, recording revenue, entering cash receipts, and supporting grant billing. This position is designated in-person, with ability to transition to hybrid depending on office coverage and department need. This position will be dynamic and flexible through supporting the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance department. Serving as a liaison between Finance and program staff, strong interpersonal skills are a must for this position.
